Hell Hound On My Trail - On June 19th and 20th, 1937 Delta Blues guitarist Robert Johnson recorded 13 songs at Bronswick Records. This composed almost half of the 29 records the Johnson did in his lifetime. Within 14 months of the recording session he died of mysterious causes. Some reports suggest poisoning with strychnine by a jealous girlfriend, others say complications of syphilis, some say the Devil collected on his contract. Johnson's death certificate simply states "No Doctor." Johnson became the first member of the 27 Club, which includes Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain to name a few.
