One Stunt Too Many - On January 11,1934 Jack Binion, Walter Flowers and Oscar Poynter were flying a single engine airplane over White Rock Lake, buzz diving flocks of ducks and people picnicking. On the third pass the plane was so close to the water the wheels were almost touching. As the pilot turned north the wing touched the water and was ripped off. The plane plunged into 15 feet of water and stuck into the muddy lake bottom. Binion and Flowers dead bodies were pulled from the wreckage. Hours later it was learned a third person was aboard the plane. firemen and local fishermen used grappling hooks into the night to find Poynter's body. Garland Rd and E. Lawther Dr. Dallas, Tx.
